Hi, thank you for visiting BetterBonds.  This website was developed as part of my PhD research.  As a parent myself, I realised it can be hard to access research based parenting advice.  I developed BetterBonds to provide information about how to build a happy and healthy bond with your child.  My hope is that a web-based parenting program is easy to access and you can do it at a time and place that suits you.  I look forward to receiving your feedback on this program and making this a useful resource for all parents and carers.

Project Description

BetterBonds is an online parenting program which aims to reduce parental stress, parental rejection, and child difficulties and increase child strengths, parental acceptance, and reflective functioning.

The goal of this research is to help parents understand what is needed for a healthy and secure attachment and to provide a space to reflect on their parenting.  This project will focus on providing parents with concise and easy to understand information regarding attachment theory and is anticipated to increase their reflective abilities.
